BYD Dominating "Auto Mini Forum"
The 3rd Auto Mini Forum was held in Da Meisha, Shenzhen, China on July 24th. It was sponsored by Guangzhou Daily and BYD auto, and attracted lots of media from Guangzhou and Shenzhen, as well as others nationwide, which made this forum become the largest ever.
It opened at 9:30 a.m. with the speech of Mr. Wang Chuanfu, BYD President. He firstly introduced the history of his company, saying ¡°In less than 3 years since BYD entered into auto industry, it has established a new manufacture base with capacity of 200,000 cars per year in Xi'an, advanced an auto R&D and quality testing center in Shanghai, and a first-class auto tooling center in Beijing. We invest in it enormous capital as well as vertical integration experience gained from our IT parts business, and now the efforts begin to pay off. We believe that strong support of R&D and testing system is indispensable to international standard quality. That's what we have learned during our development into a leading company of IT parts industry. So will it be in our auto business. We are striving to discover and solve all problems before our products hit the market, as a manufacturing enterprise should do. BYD is determined to make quality vehicles --- that's the primary task since entrance into auto industry."
President Wang emphasized that 80% auto quality relies on design. With its classical design, the upcoming F3 has gone well through many kinds of stringent national inspections and road tests under hard conditions, which enabled the product to be registered in new car catalogue by national authority. Besides car quality, after-sale service, we believe that manufacturer's attitude toward market and consumer does make a difference. BYD will stick to international standard manufacture and quality in new models production in the future. We are confident about the road we chose as Chinese. We believe that, like Chinese electro-appliance and toys, Chinese cars will be our great pride one day!" President Wang also made a closing speech, saying, "Market has no sympathy for losers' tears. While local brand has lots of opportunities, it also faces great challenges. That's the hard reality we should keep aware of. Success in auto business is a grand dream of BYD, whose realization requires not only quality products, but also brand recognition. Making profit is important for local enterprises, but contributing to our national pride is even more important!" |
